Alizée

Alizée ([aliˈze], full name - Alizée Jacotey (French Alizée Jacotey); August 21, 1984) is a French singer, dancer and philanthropist.

Alize was born in the city of Ajaccio, on the coast of the French island of Corsica. Her father is a computer specialist, her mother is an entrepreneur, and Alize also has a younger brother Johann (four years younger). The origin of her name is associated with the French translation of the word "trade wind".
From an early age, young Alize was addicted to music and dancing. Already at the age of four, she danced perfectly, and soon began to study dance at the Corsican dance school.

In 1995, at the age of eleven, Alize took part in a competition organized by the former French airline "Air Outre Mer" (now Swissair). It was necessary to draw a drawing on the body of the aircraft, depicted on a special form. Alize won this competition, and, in addition to the trip she won to the Maldives, her drawing was depicted on a real plane in full size, and the plane was named after her.
In December 1999, Alize first participated in a television music competition called "The Beginning Star", held on the French TV channel "M6". Initially, Alize conceived to perform at the competition with a dance number, but, having learned that only groups can participate in this nomination, she decided to participate in the vocal part of the competition and sang the song in English. Not going to the next stage of the competition, Alize returned to the stage of the "Beginning Star" a month later, sang a song by the Belgian singer Axel Red called "My Prayer" and won the competition. Moreover, Alize received her first music award “Meilleure Graine” as the most promising young singer.

Her victory in the competition did not go unnoticed, and soon the famous French singer Mylene Farmer and composer Laurent Boutonne, who were looking for a young talent with a beautiful voice to create a joint project, suggested Alize to start a vocal career. Alize agreed to work in a new creative team, and after several studio auditions, Alize's career as a songwriter began.

While Alize, after the release of her first album, in her creative image appeared to the public as Lolita with a sexy appearance and defiant clothes, in fact, Alize was "a modest quiet person and an ordinary urban teenager." Timid and shy Alize loved to be in the center of attention of her fans. Gradually, growing up, and also with the release of the second album, Alize changed her “image of Lolita” to “the image of a matured girl”, and the meaning of the songs became more “adult”.
Alize continues to engage in dancing, in particular, she is fluent in classical dancing, jazz dancing, ballet and flamenco. She is interested in football and is even a fan of AC Ajaccio football club. Alize is fond of Thai boxing, but not to gain boxing experience, but to maintain his physical shape.
Alize is also involved in charity work, being part of a group of celebrities called "Les Enfoirés" ("Silly"). This group gives charity concerts every year, and the income from the concerts goes to Les Restaurants du Coeur (Restaurants of the Heart) - a fund to help the poor (money goes to feed the poor). Alize took part in these concerts in 2001, 2002, 2008-2012.
Alize is married to Jérémie Chatelen, whom she met at the 2003 Eurobest awards. Their wedding took place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) on November 6, 2003.
On April 29, 2005, Alize gave birth to a daughter, whom the couple gave the name Annili.
The family has now bought a private house on the outskirts of Paris.
